June 6, 20179 yr What's the best way to wire money to someone? Ideally electronically from my account to theirs? I checked my bank 5/3 and the have something called popmoney but it takes 3 days. Anything quicker? One of those things in life I've just never done before lol
June 6, 20179 yr I've used Western Union to wire money to Africa. The King of Nigeria thanks you, also.

My kids seem to like that method.:irked:
June 6, 20179 yr The King of Nigeria thanks you, also. Still waiting on the $18 million my aunt left me. Not sure how many more times I need to wire them money.

June 6, 20179 yr Venmo. It's an app that let's you send money directly to someone. I've never used Venmo, but that's what my son and his roommates use to send each other the money to pay for their utilities for their college apartment. I'm not sure if there are fees involved or how long it takes for the money to become available. Paypal is always an option, but it does take a couple days and of course there are fees. Wiring, whether through your bank or Western Union is probably the fastest way, but it is also the most expensive way. Google Wallet is also an option...both parties need a gmail account. It's free and the money only takes about 24 hours to become available to the recipient.

No fees so I'm not sure how they make money off this app. Both parties have to add their bank account information into Venmo. Money that is sent to you goes into your Venmo account. You have to transfer it to your bank but that's just a couple of clicks to do so and it only takes a day or so for the money to show up in your account. I love it and so do my 2 kids who use it!
June 6, 20179 yr I am not sure if there is a maximum amount of money you can transfer with Venmo though so depending on your situation you may want to look into that.
June 6, 20179 yr Similar to Venmo I use Paypal. It would take a couple days to get verified if you don't have it yet so this wouldn't work in this situation. Western Union is probably your best bet.
