The appointment Wednesday comes amid a growing Democratic outcry for someone outside the Justice Department to handle the politically charged investigation. It follows the revelation Tuesday that fired FBI Director James Comey wrote in a memo that Trump had asked him to end an investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
May 17, 20179 yr I have thought for a while that this was the right way to do it across the board. I also feel that this would be the best way to handle the Hillary situation before anyone tries to interject.

May 18, 20179 yr I like this pick. Robert Mueller will do a good job. This is how I feel too. I also agree with the others this is what we should have done with the Clinton Email Investigation and I also wonder how deep this investigation will go and what is covered. I would think Mueller would have to look at unmasking if any of the people unmasked were Trump associates speaking to Russians. There is no way you could have a complete picture, especially if the investigation was politicized in any way, without looking at everything Russia and everything that is suspect within our own Government that has ANYTHING to do with Russia.

Now that the spotlight is hot Mueller is too partial? I can't see many conservatives following the hardline Trump supporter thinking. Many have gone on record celebrating the pick of Mueller.

June 13, 20179 yr Author Trump is considering firing special counsel Mueller, friend says | Fox News That has been shot down by the DOJ already today. Assistant AG that the investigation reports to says basically he is the only one that could fire him and he would have to describe in writing to Congress why he fired him. He said it's not happening. That said, most of the people Mueller has hired are people that are ardent Democrat supporters based on election campaign reports of their political donations.

I keep hearing that there is "no evidence". He told the FBI director that he "hoped" he could let the Flynn matter go. He received no response and a week later fired Comey. Let's try a slightly different situation. A boss says to an employee, "I wish you'd sleep with me". He receives no response and a week later he fires the employee. The two events may not be related, but I wouldn't bet that way.
