I've never had an issue with the food quality, but the service is literally always terrible.

The same. I especially hate the fries. Easily the worst fries in the industry. My orders start and stop with the milkshakes. Unfortunately I have a client that always insists on eating there.

Let's hope it's run better and kept cleaner than the one in Florence. Was a fan of the place when first opened in Florence but over the years the quality of service and cleanliness of the place went downhill and we haven't been in the restaurant for a few years. What I would like to see is a Freddy's which is similar to Steak and Shake but much better IMO.

I really like Steak n Shake. I agree they are hit or miss. Florence, slow and bad, Richwood area OK, Frankfort very good. Somerset is the coldest place on Earth. We refuse to go because the two times we have, we nearly froze to death. Once in April and once in August. Can't tell you about the for because I, no we, were freezing.

 

I love their fries with cheese and their chili is my favorite. Burgers ok. I go for the shakes, fries w/cheese and chili.

 

P.S. If the lovely lady is cold, trust me, it is cold.

Completely agree, I love shoestring fries and make them at home regularly. The only thing about getting them from steak 'n shake is that if you get your order to go, you better be close to wherever your going or they will be cold before you get there. That's not a steak n' shake issue, just a characteristic of thin fries in general. When I make them at home I always fry up small batches as needed rather than a large batch for that reason.
