May 3, 20179 yr Word on the street is that Steak N' Shake is coming to Alexandria. The location is next to Burger Chef on US27 in the vicinity of the Tractor Supply business. As one of this town's newest residents, I can attest that this is a MUCH NEEDED fast-food option, that I hope continues their 24 hour a day tradition, or at least a late-night option. Taco Bell is being build in front of County Market. The one in Cold Spring does a bustling business, but is yet to get my first dime. Ditto the new one in Alexandria. I'm just not that desperate yet.
May 3, 20179 yr Let's hope it's run better and kept cleaner than the one in Florence. Was a fan of the place when first opened in Florence but over the years the quality of service and cleanliness of the place went downhill and we haven't been in the restaurant for a few years. What I would like to see is a Freddy's which is similar to Steak and Shake but much better IMO.

I'm just not that desperate yet. The one in Cold Spring might be one of the most poorly managed establishments I've ever spent money at, and nothing changed after new management. I refuse to go there. More options are always good. Might have to stop down after a hot Reds game to get a shake.

Not sure it's big enough for a restaurant though. Lots of available land to the south though. I can see that whole stretch of 27 turning into a restaurant row.

May 3, 20179 yr Logistical nightmare. You won't find me anywhere near that place. I live in Granite Springs currently. Not a fan at all.
