Not even a good scrimmage , bring on the next cupcake ..... Powell really needs to think about it's football future ....

You guys really need to get over yourselves. Powell County hasn't had a varsity program for very long. Playing programs like Russell's is supposed to help them in the long term. Their day will come.

We don't need to get over ourselves. We need to get more quality opponents to help us along as well. All this does is make us soft for the playoffs. Look at 2004. We needed to play a whole game against Belfry but our weak schedule that set most of the starters out after the half did not prepare us for playing a whole game.

I see your problem. Maybe the Bengals can squeeze you in for some mid-week scrimmages.

Congratulations to Russell on the win, and to Kasey for the good game. Make sure you nominate him for the Bluegrasspreps.Com/Kentucky News Network Player of the Week. What does the darkside comment mean?

The darkside is our back of the endzone crowd at Henry R. Evans Stadium, the endzone opposite the fire spitting Devil! Your welcome to come to the darkside at the next Russell home game

Answer me this? Why is it you can say that Powell is supposed to play teams better than they are to prepare them. But when I come on here and say the same things about Russell you turn into a smart alec about it. It's no different. Everyone wants to play good quality opponents to make them better. Why can't Russell?

Maybe you could schedule us a game with your team. I have no idea who it is but we are having trouble finding a game to fill our last opening. Be it a scheduling conflict or people just flat not wanting to play. We can't get that last game.

Yeah. What he said.:fight:

Will Russell and Mercer be meeting in the state title game ? How did the blind draw work out ? I can't remember if they will meet before the title game of it it worked out to where they can both make it to Louisville.

If Russell and Mercer Co are fortunate enough to make it that far it would be in the state finals.

I think that would be the game everyone would want to see. If you wanna be the champ you gotta beat the champ. Kind of like that old game of king of the mountain. He is king until you knock em off. The tough part is knocking em off.

That will change next season as the devils can add three games to schedule. Look for Lawrence and Raceland to possibly be two of the games replacing Powell and Estill. The third game is being worked on. Not a lot of people calling to want to play the Devils.

In other threads you talk as if Mercer has already won the ring, like nobody else has a chance against Mercer.

I don't know if Raceland will be one, I think alot of people in the area would like to see it but I don't think it will happen.

JB plays a little bingo tonight, as did Catdaddy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you...
