It is fact. They could not get alot of schools to play. Calls were made to almost every school within a 200 mile radius. Some could not because of previous commitments and some just did not want to play. The final spot should be a good one though.

 

What better "good one" could you find other than a team just located a few miles from your own campus. Raceland has great tradition, brings a huge crowd and, at the risk of speaking for my orange and black friends, would love to get a crack at the devils. Talk about a "Backyard Brawl"...that one would be worth the price of admission.

It would be a big gate and a heated rivalry. Raceland does have a great tradition and is a very good program. Worth the price of admission depends upon where the game is played IMO.

Good football is good football regardless of the venue. I would enjoy a game between Raceland and Russell at either facility, but I have to give the nod to Raceland for better concession food.

It is a done deal - contracts have been signed by both parties. Should be good for both communities and the area. I know Raceland's facilities are not as big as Russell's but I think the atmoshere will be better at Raceland. With all the people around the track and right on top of the players. Should be a great game.

That's great news for area football fans. I hope the date of this game will be during an open date in the Ashland schedule.

I agree Fball...Raceland has been salivating at an opportunity to play Russell. I dont think they will cancel OR postpone the game.
