March 15, 20179 yr Per the BCHS Twitter account, they aren't changing their mascot...they're just looking to "unify their logo". There's a WCPO article about it. They're apparently having a student contest to make a logo to unify their "brand" between all sports, organizations, uniforms, etc. Student artists compete to create more modern, consistent logo for Boone County HS - Insider - Story

It is really cool that they are giving students the opportunity to develop the new design.
March 15, 20179 yr When I was in school, back then there was a lot of talk about changing the mascot. Kept hearing it was going to change to Beavers. Glad that never happened.
March 15, 20179 yr What's wrong with the logo? When did Boone County get an interim principal? I don't know that they're saying anything is "wrong" with their logos....the problem is that they are looking for one unified logo to use across the board, which is something that they don't have presently. I think it's cool that they're making a contest amongst the student body to come up with that logo. That's something that I personally wish they would have done at Cov Cath instead of paying some graphic designer to come up with their lame "C+" logo. Most all of the previous Cov Cath logos had been designed by students.
