I pick X 17-14 only b/c they have been practicing for what seems like weeks for this game. They haven't played in 3 weeks, they need to hit someone else.

Wow, why the big gap?

A bye naturally and then they had a Sat game at Lex Cath get cancelled due to a soccer game. Naturally we had no field to offset that and it has been rescheduled.

Given the scores of the Moeller games for each school, T has to be the easy favorite in this game.

I hope the home kids think so, at least.

What was the X score versus Moeller?

^ I think it was 56-14....not 100% sure though...

My assesment:

Our defense has some old fashioned head hunting types. The types that Trinity hasn't really had since the Lampley era. I look for more of a defensive struggle than most, but am expecting a Rock win.

Moeller vs St. X in Cincy: Crusaders 54-14 per Moeller website

Moeller vs Trinity at Trinity: Crusaders 21-14 in OT.

Comparative scores are fun......St. X Frosh Head Coach is new with Jamie Brown moving up to varsity. Sean McGuire is old veteran in his second season as leader of Rock Frosh.

Hopefully, Trinity doesn't come in too over confident because of the Moeller scores. I haven't seen St. X freshmen play so I can not give a score. Perfect weather today!

Give me Trinity in this one.... in a score similar to what the now seniors did a few years back as frosh.

Does Moeller have an A and B freshman squad? If so, does anyone know if both teams played the same squad?

Good luck to both freshman teams.

Yeah I agree. I know you shouldnt compare scores like that but thats a HUGE difference.

Did Moeller's A squad play St. X and Trinity?

One squad but some play in the A game and some play in the B game. They play a total of 13 games this year. The B games have been a replacement for the fifth quarter in the GCL where anyone who didn't get in the 4th quarter played in the 5th quarter without a scoreboard and referees. Schools in Ky. cannot play more than 10 games on a level. (I don't know how Freshmen and JV count playoff or tournaments. ) Bullitt Central has had JV tournaments before.

Regardless, Trinity took approximately the same team( Moeller, 5-0) to overtime and the frosh kittens came 40 points short. I see T by 24.

I asked several Moeller parents and they confirmed that both X and T played the same team. They played the same JV (or reserve) team as well. I got quite a few puzzled looks concerning the A and B squad concept, they responded that "this is Moeller's freshman team, period". Maybe the A and B thing went away over the years.
