I know T moved the ball well all games they just seemed to fizzle each drive.

Exactly.....just seemed to bog down, I think that that sometimes happens when the field gets shortened for us. Something the Frosh Rocks will have to overcome.

Does anyone have stats on this game? I did not see the game and the score does not always tell the story. Just wondering what the stats looked like...

I don't have stats, but X had two long scores, and that was about all. Trinity racked up a lot of yardage in between the 20's but not where it counts.

I do know T went for it on 4th and whatever and was stopped 4 out of the 5 times they tried. Why would they not go for a field goal and take the 3 points from inside the 20 yard line? They did it 2 of the 5 times, if memory serves me right?

Medium length field goals are a lot to ask of a freshman. The X kicker looked pretty good, but when a penalty backed him up to the 18 yard line, he couldn't hit the extra point.

Good job X. Fun game to watch. After not seeing a freshman game in a few years, you realize how green these kids are.

 

Liked St. X's safety, #21, and their linebacker, #31?. I thought those kids had good speed and were sure tacklers.

 

Loved Trinity's rb #3. Not sure of his name, but his running style is very, very similar to...Vic Anderson. Great leg drive and power.

 

Any update on the injured X player?

 

 

Josh was backboarded as a precautionary measure, he was transported, and the ER cleared him later in the night. He was in school today. Good to see him alright!

AWESOME CROWD! Both teams have future studs... X had the middle plugged but it seemed like T was determined to break it open. Not enough quarters in the game to accomplish this.... good win for the Tigers!
