UK offers Tydlacka Punter/Kicker (Trinity)

Featured Replies

^ he's very dangerous place kicking as well ;)

with U of L having much more exposure, I would think that he would be inclined to look a the Cards heavily, and I would bet they will show him some love now.

Either way, congratulations Ryan, I will support you no matter where you go.

This kid had better be darn good to use one of UK's few scholarships they have to offer for this recruiting season.

To me it says a lot how good he is, not what are they doing, they would not offer him this early if he was not the real deal

In my opinion he's the best punter in a while. I would be the first to say numbers are not the best judgement of a punter or kicker. But 48 yard average, very high punts and kicks.

Not commenting on this particular young man.....

I don't necessarily agree with your contention that they would not offer unless he is the real deal. They've offered some kids already that do not fit that description.

If it's the kid I saw last season during the SK/T game he has a monster leg, very high and very long on his punts.

This is a good deal for UK. One of my complaints about UK recruiting is the lack of players on the roster from Male, X, and T. This year it's Jeffries from X, Shumate, originally a walkon from Male, and no T. Who was the last T player to play there? How can you not recruit arguably the top 3 4A programs consistently?

Besides Brohm, who else from T do you think would be able to play at the I-A level?

I believe Anthony Wajda, Trinity class of 98.

Way to go Tydlacka!!

Please go to UofL instead! :D

:fight: We (UK)sure would like to have him!!

What is the size of Trinity's kicker/punter? From what I remember at the MBA game, he seemed to be pretty big and had a monster leg.

I think that Ryan would be a great addition to either team. But, UK has shown a lot of interest and offered first. UofL hasn't been as aggressive. It may be a case of the early bird....

Remeber though::: the second mouse gets the cheese. I hope you are right in that he remembers UK being there first.

Maybe UK learned their lesson from the guy that is now kicking at The Ohio State University!!! They sure missed the boat on that one.

Dillon Thiery (6'7", 300 plus) who has started at Northwestern 3 years for one. I'm sure there are others. I would rather take a chance on a T or X than a chance on some of the A or2A players we sign. Plus when the time comes, I think it's good to have someone on your roster to help recruit another from your school. I want Kids who know how to win, and know what it takes to win.

I believe DL Will Rueff started for 2 years at Miami (Ohio). Graduated From T in '01 or '02.

UK doesn't understand these things. I would rather have a kid from T or X or another winning KY program that is a a tenth slower than some of these players from FLA that UK goes after. Recruiting local players that are winners helps with character, and stablity in a program. KY made strides this past recruiting season by picking up a lot of KY guys, some who are contributing right now (Peters, Johnson, Warford, Jefferies) but they need to keep the state's best here.

I think that is EKU footballs biggest problem right now. They are loaded with FLA and GA guys but are still going 5-5 every year. Why not give some KY players a chance who are proven winners? I guess D. Hope and staff are trying to "restore the pride" with players who don't know anything about the tradition of EKU football. That is why there will be less than 1000 people in the stands towards the end of the season. No one wants to go see a losing team, especially one with no local players.

Ryan is 6'0" 204 lbs.....

He has a monster leg, great attitude, and he is a good student, almost ZERO risk in this pick up.
