January 16, 20188 yr Author The 25th annual Bockfest is going to be the first weekend of March. I'm planning on heading up to Cincinnati for the occasion, like I do each year. I'm not sure how many breweries will have offerings available at the participating venues, but I'll make it my mission to try as many of them as possible. February 19, 20197 yr Author Cincinnati Bockfest is coming up the weekend after next (March 1-3). Bock beer probably my #1 favorite beer style. Last year they had a RIDICULOUSLY huge number of bock offerings from Greater Cincinnati breweries. I haven't seen a complete listing for this year, but what I've seen already has me looking forward to the trip up. For those who haven't been, there's a Bockfest Parade through Over The Rhine on Friday around 5 or 6pm, and then there are 10 or 15 local bars and breweries that participate in the events all weekend, including a main "Bockfest Hall" at the Moerlein Tap House in OTR (not to be mistaken with the Moerlein Lager House on the river front). They have a free shuttle running circuits to all of the participating locations, and with the exception of a couple of specific parties/events during the weekend, the whole thing is free to attend.
