They didn't want to leave Sacramento so to make himself look less attractive they are pretty much saying that when Cousins' current contract is finished that they will leave New Orleans. It's usually a negotiating ploy. If things go good in New Orleans with AD then I imagine he will sign an extension there. His contract is up after next season so unless the Pelicans trade him he will be there the rest of this season and all of next season at the very least.

Robinson and Duncan were on opposite ends of their career, but that would be the closest as far as true front court guys. Bird/McHale as well if you consider Bird a low post guy.

February 20, 20179 yr I'm pumped about this. Even though the NBA is getting smaller I think this font court could work. Davis can guard anyone and Cuz is more athletic than he looks. They they won't have enough this year but a good offseason and they could be a threat.

February 20, 20179 yr They have the potential to be a very, very good frontcourt. Cousins is one of the best true bigs in the game, and Davis is dynamic. This will allow Davis to play the 4 and could work very well if NOLA can get decent guard play.
February 20, 20179 yr I think they'll have a ton of success. If Holiday can stay healthy, they can be very tough next season and beyond.
