The disagreement seems to be that President Trump is the wrong type of personality to lead the reform. In my opinion he is the first president attempting to improve the immigration process. Like him or not President Trump is a strong personality. I hope he tones down the rhetoric and rises above the minor skirmishes, but I appreciate that he is taking the bull by the horns. He isn't in this thing to make friends.

President GWB proposed a "guest worker" plan and it was shot down. Guess he should have rushed it as an EO instead.

I would of prefered this go through congress, but it is perfectly legal for the President to give order on what countries citizens are allowed in.

My snark was directed toward the implication that we shouldn't be concerned because other countries do worse, as though that's a reasonable standard for our own politics. So you think a temporary halt to allow better vetting is a bad thing?

A POTUS that wants existing law enforced. I guess after the last 8 years of a President that orders to ignore existing law, this is a tough pill for the Left to follow. It was a poorly thought out plan that needlessly excluded all nationals from these countries and I don't believe you can tell me what specific vetting was going to be applied to green card or other visa holders (or refugees for that matter) that isn't already applied or will actually solve any problems.

I disagree. Having a few inconvenienced to keep out terrorists, that have been shown in other countries, to be imbedded with the refugees, is small in comparison to an attack. IMHO it doesn't matter what President Trump does, most on the Left are going to complain about it.

Society full of wimps that need to move to europe to experience first hand the fruition of their open border society. I think those who stir the crap pot should be the first to lick the spoon.
