Addictions: What is the Toughest One For You to Manage???

What about people, in general? Not referring necessarily to you, but what addition you think is worse than any other? Rats will consume certain drugs until they die. I'm sure drug abuse is terrible. Some humans consume food until they pretty much blow up. I'm sure that must be awful as well.

I struggle with it all. I think some people just have a curse of addiction.

I think you're right, sir. Seems like some folks are genetically predisposed to addictive behavior. I've seen it in certain families.

I'm not sure what I struggle with the most. I try to turn the curse into a positive and get addicted to things like working out or doing good work.

I'd have to say that my wife is my greatest addiction. I can't manage her, I can only hope to contain her.

I spend way too much time of social media/internet. I've been cutting back lately. After I found myself checking Facebook for the 2000th time even after I just looked 5 minutes ago. All to see the latest political post or some blurry picture of the concert you went to? What a waste of time. I'm very close to deleting it.

Sounds like something that would come out of Mr. Cat's mouth. :lol2:

I spend entirely too much money on golf clubs and shoes. It is definitely an addiction.

Tobacco for 42 years until 20 months ago. Nothing now. I could probably be addicted to gambling if I would blow it. I am not addicted to sex. Wouldn't help if I was.

I laughed out loud!

Food and then social media.

Too many to discuss.

I can manage all of my addictions pretty well. What they are is nunya though.

Porn is a multi billion dollar a year industry. I see in the local paper almost on a weekly basis someone caught looking at underage porn. Just in the past couple months alone an educator , a preacher, and someone in law enforcement. Apparently it must be a pretty bad addiction as well. Men seemingly will risk their families, careers, and yes, even their freedom for illicit sexual gratification.

Porn and underage porn are two entirely different addictions.

I wouldn't know about these two kinds of addiction. I have read opinions of some who think softer leads to harder, more perverse stuff. I don't know if the data supports that or not. Ted Bundy once said the best sex he ever had was the 12 year old he had sex with after he had killed her. He told James Dobson that he blamed his sick urges on pornography. I personally don't see anything redeeming about porn at all. Just me though. I know a lot of men and women that enjoy it.
