January 29, 20179 yr Oh well. If Obama sucked so bad, I just don't get the fascination with comparing Trump to him. That isn't the standard to beat, is it? The Obama standard? This move by Trump should concern everyone. We have a complete novice in foreign policy as President. He needs all the experienced knowledgable advisors he can get in the room with him - and Goldman Sachs employee/movie producer/media maven Bannon is not a foreign policy expert. I can't help but be amazed at the irony. Trump's favorite targets in the campaign - big banks (and especially Goldman Sachs) and the media. His top advisor is a former Goldman Sachs employee and a media person. And that person replaces foreign policy experts. And it is clear there are even more things that we will be in the dark about during their reign. There is truly no telling what they will do and no telling why they will do what they do.

I am not comparing Obama to Trump, I am contrasting the two and providing context to liberals' complaints about Trump. I don't understand the over reaction to a Trump decision over who will attend a regularly scheduled meeting every time that a committee meets and who will attend only when the subject matter requires their expertise. Trump did not say that he will not be meeting with either the DNI or the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. From the Obama administration's NSC web page: The NSC is chaired by the President. Its regular attendees (both statutory and non-statutory) are the Vice President, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Defense, and the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the statutory military advisor to the Council, and the Director of National Intelligence is the intelligence advisor. The Chief of Staff to the President, Counsel to the President, and the Assistant to the President for Economic Policy are invited to attend any NSC meeting. The Attorney General and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget are invited to attend meetings pertaining to their responsibilities. The heads of other executive departments and agencies, as well as other senior officials, are invited to attend meetings of the NSC when appropriate. NSC staffing grew from 40 under George W. Bush to 400 under Barack Obama. Trump appears to be of the school that believes bigger is not necessarily better and I agree with him. Communication among various groups in any large organization is important, but increasing the size of the group crowded around a conference room table is usually counterproductive. People need to be given time to do their jobs and most productive people appreciate not having their calendar filled up with meetings where their attendance is not really necessary. People who need to be invited to many meetings to feel important are usually not usually very productive in their jobs.
January 29, 20179 yr AND given a new name to lying: alternative facts. Wasn't it Nixon's people who came up with the term "plausible deniability"?
January 29, 20179 yr And it is clear there are even more things that we will be in the dark about during their reign. There is truly no telling what they will do and no telling why they will do what they do. So far it's been out in the open. Just like Obama had my confidence and hope in the beginning I think Trump deserves the same. Let him prove himself one way or the other. I think pre judging him is not factually based but emotionally based and biased. If he wrecks the government I will join in on condemnation. Will you join in in celebration if he does good?
January 29, 20179 yr Let me clarify for you. American government forces of some kind killing Americans. Kinda Kent State like on a bigger scale. That's what you actually expect? Seriously you expect Government hit squads, National Guard blowing away protesters or SEAL Team 6 to drop in on some undesirables in Montana, California or New Jersey and just "Take em Out". What is your vision for the carnage that you see coming?

What is your vision for the carnage that you see coming? Where did I say hit squads or Seal Team 6 like stuff? I do believe protesters will get out of hand and it will get ugly. I believe innocent people will be killed at higher numbers than ever before. I do not believe it will be all the governments or law enforcement's fault. It will be a lot on the protesters. It just doesn't have to be this way. There will be an undue amount of force is used and their belief is that some will be be unfortunately affected for their perceived "greater good". Kind of like Preibus ( I think it was him) remark on the refugee stuff. Unfortunately were are going to affect some innocent people to enforce this EO (paraphrasing). I really hope I am wrong.

You didn't say SEAL Team 6 Stuff, I was asking if that's what you meant. You said it would be many times worse than the National Guard at Kent State, I was just trying to see how much worse with the scenarios I presented...since you were kinda vague.

Prejudging him? I've been judging him daily by his daily actions. People state he is moving at a furious pace. I am judging him at that same pace. What good is there to celebrate? The wall doesn't bother me and I like torturing. He's failing miserably everywhere else so far for me. Luckily for me I am an American so for now I am safe. We'll see how his actions affect us sooner or later. Either way you won't see me celebrating much he does because I disagree with 98% of it. How long until we get the executive order for nationwide stop and frisk to become legal?

How long until we get the executive order for nationwide stop and frisk to become legal? Don't need one... Stop and Frisk is legal now, judge just ruled the way NYC did it was wrong. Terry vs Ohio was settled a long time ago by the SCOTUS and gives police permission to approach if they have a reasonable suspicion of a possible crime or criminal behavior and if needed to pat down the person for the safety of both.

January 30, 20179 yr Hardly, you haven't been watching the TSA very closely have you? There are some slow people catching the sarcasm today.
January 30, 20179 yr Hardly, you haven't been watching the TSA very closely have you? You know I am modeling DJT. Throw stuff against the wall and see what sticks. Seems like the same people that voted for him, bite on this. It really is making me laugh during what i think is an absurd 1st week for the POTUS.
