80 years old. Many complications throughout the years from Type 1 diabetes.

Sad, always liked her from watching her early shows with my mom.

She did well to make it to 80. She was a train wreck in the '70's

RIP Mrs. Petrie.

I always thought as a younger lady she was very classy.

Which show did you like better- the one where she was paired up with Van Dyke or the one she co-starred with Ed Asner ?

The latter, by a lot. Ted Knight was AWESOME on the "Mary Tyler Moore Show".

I liked both shows.

I suppose the MTM Show was the most popular. Moore surrounded herself with a very funny cast on that show. I never thought she was all that funny herself but she did a good job of anchoring the show while setting up the laughs for the other cast members, particularly Knight.

Sad news. Very lovely lady, had both inner and outer beauty. RIP Mary Tyler Moore.

Why don't we just say "The Dick Van Dyke Show" or "The Mary Tyler Moore Show?"

The Mary Tyler Moore Show is an all-timer.

I'm a huge fan of both shows. And she was a gorgeous lady with great comedic timing. Hate to hear this.

Would have never thought she would go before both Dick Van Dyke and Ed Asner.

I agree. He was so funny.
