January 20, 20179 yr Chris Matthews: Trump Speech Was ‘Hitlerian’ - The Daily Beast MSNBC host Chris Matthews described President Donald Trump’s strikingly populist and nationalist inaugural address as being reminiscent of Hitler’s rhetoric. “He said today ‘America first,’” Matthews said as President Obama departed D.C. by helicopter on screen. “It was not just the racial—I shouldn't say racial, I should say Hitlerian—background to it. The message I keep thinking is: What does [u.K. prime minister] Theresa May think of this when she picks up the paper and says, ‘Oh my God, what did he just say? He said America first. What happened to the special relationship?’ I guess ol' Chris still can't get his head around there being a President Trump.

Those intellectuals really believed they were the large majority. Then Brexit happened , then Trump and more than likely France will see something similar soon.

I am sorry but I listened to the speech and there was not one thing Hitlerian or anti-Semitic about it. They both just sound like fools. If you don't like Trump, that is fine...I get that. But honestly, what did he say that sounded like Nazi Germany or anti semitic? .
