I will also bet his supporters will come up with excuses as to why they were not as they continue to support him.

He was my POTUS just as Trump is your POTUS. To be fair the same can be said about the other side when Obama was elected. Many people would have rather him fail than succeed. From the first day he stared the other side was determined to fight him every step of the way. What is going on now with Trump is what the other side did to Obama. That is why our country as a whole is a mess. So much stubbornness from our parties. It's funny hearing the other side say now we all need to work together when they wouldn't when Obama was president. This whole country is messed up with stubbornness.
