How about this....I think anyone that voted for President Trump is delusional (this includes my parents and one of my brothers FWIW), and I also think anyone that voted for Hillary Clinton is equally as delusional.

I think that one could make a strong, principled case to vote for either Trump or for a third-party candidate. That is the choice that I struggled to make. In the end, I decided against casting a protest vote, but it was a very difficult decision. I don't fault those who chose to vote for third-party candidates - but I do not insult them for making that decision. I personally do not understand how people could decide to cast a vote for Hillary, but I can understand how hard core liberals could make that decision rationally.

 

As long as the Libertarian Party continues to nominate non-libertarian, liberal Republicans as its presidential nominee, the party's nominees are not going to win much support. I may have voted for an intelligent libertarian, but there was no way that I was going to vote for a pot smoking, dim-witted liberal who could not name a single international leader. The Libertarian Party blew a golden opportunity in 2016. There may never be two weaker major candidates in a presidential election. Let's hope not.

Pretty much. I still voted for him, but he did himself zero favors the months leading up to Election Day.

I voted for Trump. I'm not racist, and I have no delusions either. I knew exactly what I was voting for and that was not having to hear about President Clinton for the next 4 years.

 

I'd probably lean libertarian on most issues, and might have considered voting for their candidate if it wasn't at the risk of a Clinton presidency or they actually ran somebody who was electable.

Categorizing those that voted for Trump as a racist or delusional seems uncalled for and I would have expected that from someone I have a lot less respect for on here than you FKYW.

 

Throw in the 3rd option that UKMF presented, I'm I'm okay with it. In my opinion there is a difference between being a Trump Supporter and someone that voted for him.
