President Obama had about 30 threats a day on his life when he started the Presidency. This is not an unusual phenomenon. I would bet the President of POTUS for the last 60 years gets a threat a day. Sad, but true.evidently part of the job.

I don't think it's the threat part that's the issue here....It's more about a supposedly credible news organization creating this story out of no where.

I don't recall anything similar the past two cycles....probably because it would have been considered racist to even think that way because of the color of that PE's skin...but we have eliminated that issue so all bets are off now....

That's the world we live in now. I know politics has always been nasty but it seems that the last 20+ years or so has been some of the worst as neither side is willing to concede anything to the other side.
