The actress that played her in the movie was terrific. She was exactly as I pictured her.

I don't really know how to describe this book. I picked it up at the library on a whim and ended up reading in one night. It is a touch science fiction, but satirical and in some ways realistic. It was odd, but also good.

 

I'm not sure I loved this, and I didn't agree with every point of the author, but she does a good job of pointing out the inaccuracy of social mobility in the United States and the degree with which we marginalize the poor in the country. I'd recommend it.
