Kentucky fans do not understand the word hate when it comes to Tennessee and Louisville. They root for them when they aren't playing them. OSU hate is real and always has been to deny it is simply denying facts.

 

I don't...I may support a player (Lamar or Russ at UofL) but I want them to lose every game. The next time I root for Tennessee in football will be the second time I've ever done it...yeah I'll root for SEC teams come bowl season, but not UT.

Wrong. I'm a HUUUGE UK BBAll fan but my college football team has always been OSU. So as far as college sports goes I'm part of the two most hated fanbases.

So you're justifying the fact that Kentucky has lakes and Ohio doesn't as a reason why UK fans don't have OSU envy? Makes perfect sense.

 

It's pretty simple, you either love OSU or hate them. It's the same for Notre Dame people either love them or hate them. Let's be honest there are many OSU fans and many Notre Dame fans who wouldn't be OSU fans or Notre Dame fans if UK or UC football was any good while people were young growing up. However teams in our area like UK, UC, and UL were so bad in football and honestly hardly ever seen them on tv. It was hard for people to take those teams as their team. Notre Dame and OSU were both teams who were on tv a lot, and a lot of people's parents were cans of one of those teams and others became fans of them.

 

Notre Dame is the team I saw a lot on tv growing up and loved them. OSU was a team of grew up learning to hate, while most of my close friends love OSU. Neither OSU or Notre Dame honestly should be any of our favorites but that is the teams we saw on tv growing up and we're good.

 

So no there is no envy or whatever you OSU fans try to get yourselves to believe. It's more you either love or hate OSU. Mainly because of how irritating OSU fans are. Same reason why people either love or hate UK basketball. There is no in between. People say it's cause of jealousy, no its because of crazy idiot annoying fans of those teams lol

There is OSU hatred here, it will NEVER eclipse the dislike of Louisville. Ever.

I'm not one of those people in the first paragraph, my dad grew up in central Ohio and raised me to be a Buckeye from a young age. The envy is what fuels the hate for OSU and UK. They are envious that OSU is always in the discussion for a NC, they are envious that UK gets all of the one and dones and are always in a discussion for the NC. They wish that was their team. But instead of just trying to fit in with the crowd they stand their ground and maintain their fandom for their team (or attach theirselves to Bama or Duke like so many people in Nky do who have never been to Durham or Tuscaloosa). Bravo to them. But they wish their team had the success of OSU football and UK basketball. That by definition is envy.

I don't think UK fans understand pure unadulterated hatred of a team/ school, except for Duke. Duke basketball will always be more hated than UofL. That's the reality I've noticed. My Notre Dame team was winning the National Title in 88, was undefeated in discussion for the National title and still very much a debate that they should have been in over FSU for the title game in 93, since they beat FSU 2 games before that. There was no reason to be jealous of OSU. I hated OSU because there was zero reason to like them and mainly had to do with the corky arrogant fan base. Even the last few years you OSU fans have started to act like you are now on par with BAMA their dominance and as we have seen the last 2 years you all are still not on their level. Shoot if Clemson beats Bama they have more of an argument for being more on Bama level than OSU can say. Yet with the way you all have talked the last few years, you sure acted like you were. So yes corky arrogant OSU fans is why I hate OSU. Has nothing to do with jealousy. I hated OSU even when Notre Dame was in the national title picture.

 

Remember I am in the fan base of UK and a graduate of UK. UK is one of the most hated fan bases. Which I am sorry to break it to you most people hate us not because of jealousy. It's because of our cocky arrogant fan base, who are crazy just like OSU fans. The fact you keep acting like it's jealousy is part of the reason why people hate OSU and UK because of that arrogant nature of thinking it's jealousy.
