swamprat Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Miami lead until the 12 minute mark in the 4th quarter, then State blocked a 37 yard field goal attempt with 5 second left to preserve the win.
NEERFAN Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 I felt for the Redhawks after the loss but had a bad feeling about the FG attempt. I can't remember seeing too many 5'8" 205 pound kickers.
John Anthony Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 How did Miami make a bowl and how did State only beat them by 1?
Wireman Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 How did Miami make a bowl and how did State only beat them by 1? Well State was 5-7 so the real question is how did they make a bowl game haha. I think Dan Mullen bet on the game and tried to lose intentionally or something. Seriously

Could of kicked the FG to go up 4, but went for it and gave Miami a chance to win it with a FG. Have no idea what he was thinking.

Very bizarre
Wireman Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Just realized that Miami started the season 0-6, then won 6 in a row to make the bowl game.
GrantNKY Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Mississippi State is garbage and was all season. Miami is probably garbage too but they got hot at the right time. Miami should have won the game.
16thBBall Fan Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 I must have missed the memo when did teams with a losing record start getting into bowl games? Pretty sad that you win your bowl game and still finish with a losing record.:idunno::no:
