Islam is a false religion. Unless they can accept Jesus Christ as the son of God, and he died for all mans sins, then they are false, peaceful or not.

Unfortunately, religion has been used by many throughout to encourage violence and promote fear. It's happening around the globe, and this thread is no different.

Who are Christian bashers? There are people who are Christians that do evil things or make evil judgments who claim they are Christians, They don't act like Christians I know. I believe there are Muslims, Buddhists, etc. who don't act like the religions they know.

 

These extreme Muslims haven't cornered the market on religious extremism and zealousness.

Should have watched the video, she is muslim and laid it out to you. How can you make judgements withought information? So if you didn't listen to the author, why comment? What's funny is she lays is out how blind and misinformed and misguided the liberals are concerning the real and inevitable danger. Some of you definitely reinforce her statements. They stand against everything liberals stand for. No religous freedom, no seperation of church and state, no womens rights, death to homosexuals. But you guys go ahead and try to appease them. It's not radical, it's in the book and they are commanded to do it. Thankfully many don't, but many do. What she is saying is while there are peaceful muslims, the religion of Islam is not one that preaches peace.

Still, is Christianity a religion of Christ? Would Christ have instigated the Crusades? Or the Spanish Inquisition? Or the murder of Galileo? Or burning Joan of Arc at the stake? Or the Hugeunot Wars? Or the medieval witch hunts? Or the Salem witch hunts? Would Christ have applauded the sexual abuse of the Catholic Priests? Would Christ have spurred on the Ku Klux Klan? Or the IRA? Or the Westboro Baptist Church?

 

This is such a ridiculous post that far left proffesors teach students in college for a false equivalancy. So of the earlier examples you listed are fair and we are talking hundreds of years ago. But christianity had a reformation many years ago. Islam still as a whole is in the dark ages and in many cases has regressed .

 

Anyone who ties Hitler or communist Russia to christianity obviously has not studied history and shouldn't be taken seriously.

 

Islam is the only major religion founded on violence. Their is no dispute to this but ignored by our far left friends. Muhammed was a warrior and won people over through violence. Radical islamist today are not at dispute with core text of Koran it is actually supported. Violence is not supported by the New Testament, Islam does not have a New Testemant. There is no disputing the fact countries that are dominated by muslims , women, LGBT , other religions , all have far less freedoms.

 

If you are not willing to have an honest discussion and want to create a false equivalancy then you are apart of the problem.

But pointing this out should be in proper context and equivalancy. We are in 2016 not 1616. There is no disputing one religion has more violence done in it's name in modern society and it is not christianity.

How about WWII and the Holocaust? Mussolini, Hitler, Höss, Goebbels, Heydrich, and Mengele were all raised Catholic. Goring, Hess and Keitel were raised Lutheran. Rommel was raised an evangelical protestant. Do you call all of Christianity into question because there are a small group of people who were raised in Christian households who go on to turn into monsters? There were 11 million killed in the Holocaust under the orders of leaders who were baptized in Christian churches.

 

There is a difference between being raised in a certain religion and committing an act in said religions name. Italy , Nazis and communist Russia outlawed freedom and practice of religion .

 

If you can't use basic critical thinking skills and distinguish between acting on texts and in the name of one religion as opposed to being raised in a household that may practice a religion and ignoring it in your adulthood then we cannot have a conversation.

 

It is not only an out right lie to compare Communist Russia and Nazis to Jihadist , it makes me wonder if you really want to have a serious discussion. Communist Russia and Nazis killed people of all religions for practicing and outlawed all religion.

 

Jihad is a relgious term, do you want to dispute that fact? I will wait for your evidence that the Axis of Evil or the communist were waging world wide war based on religion.
