Did they travel back to Covington?

I'll be at the game tonight. I have to say, it'll be an uphill climb for the rocks

Since it seems to be a popular topic in this thread....

Covcath didn't stay in Louisville. The players wanted to but couldn't because of exams this week (3 Monday, 2 Tuesday, 2 Wed) so they had to travel back and forth every day. (No inside info, but going to assume a few of the parents weren't very happy about them playing so far away during exam week.)

As far as Covcath's personnel goes, getting Davin and Ruthsatz back will be a big boost as it will allow Fredrick to play off the ball more and not forced in to point guard duties. Hard for Covcath to run plays for him when he is bringing the ball up the floor and not able to get it back once he starts Covcath's offense.

I said at the beginning of the year that Covcath wouldn't be as deep as many thought. Talented, yes, but against teams like Moeller and Trinity, and probably Bowling Green tonight, you are going to see the effects of not having two kids who are starters (Davin/Ruthsatz).

December is about learning experiences and improving..not wins and losses.

Rough week for CC players. KOB is tough enough, add in exams and 600 miles of travel.

Just a general observation/question: How come when a team is victorious, people comment it was a "great win" etc., but when it's a loss, the comments are "it's not about wins and losses, it's a learning experience right now .." ??

Because when you play top talent or a little better talent it is great win (maybe good), when you lose to them you should be learning. The only time I don't think it is a real learning this time of year is when you win or lose by 30+.

I am sure Trinity learned some things, also. I really think most get it.

Great win for Trinity, the right adjustments were made in the second half. Burkman stepped up his leadership role and everything fell into place. Great job boys, good luck tonight!

Didn't realize Davin is a starter. Who will he replace when he's healthy

Two great team and great coaches...teams that play the game the way it should be played...great defense and unbelievable execution on the offensive end. We are so proud to have your teams participate, as we are ALL teams that we invited.

Will Cooper be able to pressure passing lanes and/or trap and press like Moeller and Trinity? Seems like CC is a horrible match-up in the 1/2 court for teams.

It's tough to win a state championship in December.

I always enjoy when Trinity & Cov Cath play basketball. Sounds like another solid game. Congrats to Trinity on the strong performance and good luck tonight.

I assume Jack will come off the bench.
