Since it seems to be a popular topic in this thread....

Covcath didn't stay in Louisville. The players wanted to but couldn't because of exams this week (3 Monday, 2 Tuesday, 2 Wed) so they had to travel back and forth every day. (No inside info, but going to assume a few of the parents weren't very happy about them playing so far away during exam week.)

As far as Covcath's personnel goes, getting Davin and Ruthsatz back will be a big boost as it will allow Fredrick to play off the ball more and not forced in to point guard duties. Hard for Covcath to run plays for him when he is bringing the ball up the floor and not able to get it back once he starts Covcath's offense.

I said at the beginning of the year that Covcath wouldn't be as deep as many thought. Talented, yes, but against teams like Moeller and Trinity, and probably Bowling Green tonight, you are going to see the effects of not having two kids who are starters (Davin/Ruthsatz).

December is about learning experiences and improving..not wins and losses.

I guess them dreaming about Santa Claus coming to town soon affected their play also.

You took my post the wrong way if you felt I was making excuses for why Covcath lost. T was the better team, plain and simple.

I know you weren't making excuses for them. I should have posted that in a separate thread and not have quoted you.

Rough week for CC players. KOB is tough enough, add in exams and 600 miles of travel.

Dunbar has also done the "back and forth" thing. Last year and this year both.

This tournament is great preparation for the post season. Traveling long distances each day certainly wouldn't be an advantage.

I understand there are reasons that teams don't stay.
