Are you a smoker?

Featured Replies

Isn't it funny how society's norms change? Years ago, everyone including pregnant women were smoking....in stores, restaurants, move theatres---you name it. NBA players smoked on the bench. What will people 40 years from now, when looking back at the 2010's, say "I can't believe those people were doing that"?

I never smoked until after my divorce. I eventually wound up as a reservationist at The Brown, and everyone smoked in the office. Every desk has an ash tray in the back office. I eventually just became a smoker. But it was no big deal then. Literally everyone I knew was a smoker.

Spent a couple hours in downtown Asheville, NC last Saturday. Place was crawling with smoking hipsters.

Despondent Hillary supporters with a death wish.

Never have been and never will be...I am TOTALLY disgusted by cigarettes. Expensive, disgusting and the worst thing you can do for your body from a health perspective. I feel bad for people addicted to nicotine.

No I am not, thankfully. I tried to start summer going into sophomore year. People would go on smoke break and I'd tag along. I couldn't keep up with them. I started smoking semi regularly when in became an apprentice and all the workers on the job smoked. I kicked that habit, to only smoke after I had my last drink of the night. my last Cigarette was the night U.K. beat UL in the final fiur. I guess I'm getting old but if there is smoking in a bar, I'm looking to leave ASAP

A friend of mine told me about an Ozzy Osborn interview. Ozzy said "I have been on just about all the illegal drugs their are, and the only one I couldn't stop was nicotine." True or not, I really don't know. Food for thought?

I quit about 8-10 years ago. One of the best decisions I have ever made. Food tastes better. Beer tastes better. My clothes smell better and I imagine that my beard smells better. Love cigars. I'll never smoke cigarettes again. I don't even crave them.

Truth but I do think it would be harder for me to quit drinking than it was for me to quit smoking. I can't imagine not having a beer every day but alcohol being legal and marijuana being illegal makes a tremendous difference. If marijuana was legal I guarantee I would smoke weed everyday and not drink that much.
