December 15, 20169 yr I am by no means a UofL backer/supporter or fan...with that said, I agree with Jurich on this one...You take a phone call...A guy wants to give you some inside information, you listen, you might decide as a coach to go over some of the information. Did the U of L staff seek out this information? In the world of football people do things from Little League on up to gain competitive advantages... I have know HS coaches who use scanners in their press box to try and scan opposing teams headset conversations during games... I have known coaches to video tape other coaches signals while scouting... I have known coaches who send people to watch other teams practices...and the list goes on and on. What Uof L did, every other school in the country would have done... What you also have to realize is, college coaches are so paranoid, the U of L coached probably didn't put tons of stock into what was said to insure they weren't being duped...non issue...the talking heads making a big to do about this are getting laughed at by every football coach in America. Thank you!!!!

The tentative agreement with the CBA between the NBPA and NBA is much bigger news but this is a scandal so national news has to make it bigger than what it is. For now all they know is Wake Forest and UL but this cat was doing this for 2-3 years. I guess we have to wait to see who else took info so we can start firing their ADs also. Surely we all know that UL isn't the only "guilty" party, right?

The optics of it are far worse for UofL than any other program though due to the sex scandal the basketball team just went through. But I also don't understand how a coach paying prostitutes for recruits isn't a huge deal. At least in The Program they just used students at parties.
