What happened on the court is that Kentucky overcame all of that and still had a lead until a buzzer beater. I knew that day that UK was special.

Deuce you cant separate the two , they cant play at Assembly hall in front of no fans. What happened on the court was pure awesomeness ! What happened off the court should never ever happen again , and with IU unable to guarantee that and their unwillingness to play at a neutral site UK chose not to continue the series. And you never answered my question , is there " too far" to go between fan bases before a home and home is considered a no go ?

The big deal is that 5,000 people chanted that a player's mom is fat. Then they chanted the F word. Then they harassed a UK fan and forced him to be relocated in the arena. Then they spit on people. Then they dumped drinks on people. Then they stormed the court and nearly trampled a dozen people, including a handicapped man. They tried to fight members of the Kentucky media. They threw stuff on the court.

 

It was a dangerous situation and that's unacceptable.

I must have missed your question about "too far." I'm sure there probably is that limit, but nothing that anybody has said is even remotely close to that.

The bolded has happened at every single arena in America including Rupp Arena. If you debate that, you clearly have no interest in being objective.

 

Spitting on someone and trying to fight someone is never acceptable. Again, both have happened at many places, including Rupp. They didn't seek out a handicapped man and try to trample him, so if your issue is storming the court, that's not isolated to IU.

The things that happened were not " stuff" that occurs in any arena on a normal basis . Or even an occasional basis . I'll assume thats were our disagreement lays . And we certainly will never agree. Thats Ok also.

Individually, I have no doubt that there are idiots at every game. Again, I'm talking about 5,000 or more people doing these things together. Huge difference. I've been to games everywhere and I'm telling you that Indiana fans crossed the line.
