It's so nice of them to invite four other guys to sit next to Lamar Saturday. :D

I thought it was vote totals for every place except first. I'm thinking the votes were pretty even amongst the bottom 4 guys. I haven't seen anyone as the consensus 2nd place guy. I personally think it's Mayfield but I'm not entirely sure it will be him.

With two Oklahoma guys in the top 5 seems hard either would be 2nd.

My guess on the voting:

Jackson

Watson

Mayfield

Peppers

Westbrook

The only thing that would have me nervous if I'm a Louisville fan is the fact Cook and Hurts aren't in the top 5 , did most the south vote for Watson.

Do people understand how Heisman voting works? The list shows me that there is not much competition.

Pretty much 900 + ballots with 3 votes by each voter with the previous Heisman winners included in that number with a ballot. Points are awarded 1st 3 points, etc. They invite candidates until there is a huge gap in votes accumulated. Some years there have been 6, some 3, etc. So my previous list was my take on chances to win not actual

votes. It did include the order I think they will get votes.

And since they have been inviting players to NY, the average has been 4 a season.

I heard one guy on the radio say something.

His comment was that a lot of media people do not like Petrino and he wondered if that could affect some people's vote. It shouldn't, but people are people and do things for the wrong reason.

Desmond Howard's Heisman ballot:

1) Jabrill Peppers

2) Jake Butt

3) Wilton Speight

4) Jourdan Lewis

5) Taco Charlton

Jackson wins it with Baker Mayfield second. Next year Baker Mayfield wins it with Jackson second.

Jabrill Peppers highlight tape is going to be great. They're just going to show the return against Colorado and go back to showing Lamar Jackson highlights.

IMG_0754.PNG glad to see a Heisman ceremony invitation has become a participation trophy....

This group does not overwhelm me. I would put Jackson slightly ahead of

Watson but it would not surprise if those two switched places.

Yeesh.

I know I'm preaching without an audience here, but some things just really irk me and this is one of them. Haha
