I hear ya... I just think Committee is kinda sending a message non conference schedule is meaningless.. Didn't Baylor and or TCU get penalized for this a couple of years ago and committee specifically said 'weak non conference opponents" - My take is do away with conference championship weekend.. expand to 8 teams and seed - Have those teams play in lieu of conference championship weekend.. Then Get your final 4 for BCS bowls.. that way bowl tradition etc stays in tact.. Just my take how you could expand to 8 and not lose the bowl traditions.....

I think you need to give up on the they got screwed at Ohio State thing. Jabrill Peppers admits they just didn't get it done, you probably should too.

Nope the Oklahoma win is why they got in. Penn State beats Pittsburgh they are in. Don't lose to Pitt and don't lose to Michigan by 39 points and Penn State is in.

That's a good question and where I was going with the Washington schedule vs Penn State. If Im AD at Penn State I say drop Pitt and add IUPUI kinda like what Washington did with Portland State and Idaho..

Right. The narrative this morning is the committee sent a message that non conference schedule doesn't matter. OSU would have to disagree. IMO, the only message they sent is win your games. Like Dana White always preaches, do not leave it in the hands of the judges. If you leave doubt then don't whine.

I see the system as flawed, Ohio State should not be there, and the team that beat them and won their conference should. Perception>Results=Fix.

They lost 2 games, the committee has been saying all year that a potential conference championship game is only a tiebreaker not a be all end all, long before they knew OSU wasn't going to be playing in the B1G champ game. There is no ground to stand on when you say Ohio State shouldn't be there. Bama was almost in this situation last year when Ole Miss barely lost to Arkansas. Nobody would have been saying this about Bama last year. The committee made a stand on the playoffs being a reward for a whole seasons worth of games. If it wasn't Penn State and USC would be in the playoffs. But does USC deserve to be in because they dominated Washington? Nobody is making that argument? But you argue that Penn State should be in because they beat Ohio State in a game OSU dominated and basically ended on a blocked field goal? USC did not win their conference, much less make it to their conference championship game. Apples to kumquats. PSU won their conference AND beat the team that got in to do so. I don't need to understand anything else.

I hate the system too, it should be 8 teams. But they got it right with the top 3 teams because those are the 3 best teams in the country. I don't think they got the 4th team right.

The case against 8 teams is mainly brought on by the coaches. I heard it last week and found this article.

In other words, Meyer's biggest concern is the health of the players and asking them to do too much over the course of a lengthened season. If the schools had more scholarships and bigger rosters, those same players could then get more rest during the season. But that is not happening with just 85 scholarships available to each team.

I feel bad for PSU but no way do I agree that OSU should not be in the top 4. They went 3-1 against top ten teams...AND 3 of the 4 games were true road games. They played a great schedule and lost one game...due to special teams miscues against a top ten team. It was their second game in row against a top ten team on the road where the other team was coming off a bye week to prepare. Your going to say they are not deserving? I just cannot agree. The committee was just in a tough spot. I agree with the four teams that are in. If you put in PSU, I would take Washington out before OSU. Washington played one top ten team and got drilled...BAD...and at home I think. No way Washington should be in over OSU...
