Lucky Shirt

Featured Replies

I have a red PGA polo shirt that I wear every Friday. Not just during football season, but year round. There may be the occasional day I skip, but for the most part if it is Friday, I have that shirt on. My wife noticed that it had a couple of "picked" places in it, and it is getting worn. So she bought me a new one, :lol2:, silly woman. No way in heck I am changing, at least not as long as Belfry is on the streak they are currently on. New shirt still has the tags on it. Wife doesn't understand that the old shirt has a lot of mojo and I can't risk it.

I am torn, though, on weeks like this week. Should I wear the lucky shirt on Friday, or save it for Saturday when Belfry actually plays?

When is it appropriate for me to make the switch to the new shirt? Should I wear it in the off season and go back to the old one during football season? Or just stick with old faithful at least until Belfry loses a playoff game?

Do you have a lucky item you wear on game day? Do you feel like you have wronged your team if you don't wear it?

These are the things on my mind today. :D

Real man would just double down on the deoderant and go back to back

Retire it after these Seniors go out on 4-straight

Wear it on Friday, don't switch it up this week. Don't set yourself up for that kind of guilt. :lol2:

Fairly sure you just talked yourself into the correct answer

Just wear it all week!!! You don't need no stinkin' washing machines!!!

Plus last year I wore it on Sunday instead of Friday, so there is a precedent for that too.

Agree with Deuce and ATL, wear it Friday and double down on Saturday. Then hang it in the archives of Belfry lore.... Bring it out only on special occassions... Like the ole Billy Barue on Caddie Shack...

We adopted two kittens from a shelter.

Since we adopted them UK basketball is undefeated, UK football is undefeated with a win over Louisville, Belfry is undefeated, my nephew's school I support in GA is undefeated and playing in the Semi's... you think you have a dilemma with a little shirt? I have an animal dilemma to address.

Wear them both. Go back to the 80's with the double popped collar.

I wear the same green boxers every Friday night.

Only my wife knows.

The years that Boyle went to the State Finals, I wore the same paints and shirt each Friday. But I did wash them before I wore them the next week, but they were the same shirt and pants. So stay with the same game plan like Belfry has done.

I wash them.
