Sorry we're not all fair weather fans like you. This is my team and I will choose whether or not I spend my money on my tickets or not. Being a fan of a team is much more than the wins and losses. It's about being part of the larger community and supporting the team that represents the community through thick and thin. You won't ever understand that.

Here is the truth about the NFL. Each team still makes millions in profit every year from tv contracts and merchandising etc that they could still survive if they had 0 tickets sold next week for their game. Ticket sales are just icing on the cake. Bengal Maniac is right. What he does with his money is his own business. I had season tickets from 77 (with my dad until he passed in 91) until 2008. I gave them up for several reasons such as it got to be too much of a hassle in bad weather and the drunks were

getting way out of hand. I also didn't want to spend thousands every year for a product that I wasn't satisfied with. I knew when I stopped after 31 years they were still making money hands over fists.

 

The idea that if people stop going will force the Brown family to change their ways is wrong. All it will do is force them to move to another market.

On Sunday, I'm headed to PBS to watch the Bengals play the Eagles. I'm putting on my #55 orange jersey, walking across the bridge, climbing to my seat, drinking my expensive beer, talking with my friends around me, looking at cheerleaders every quarter, and watching the same lame videos on the scoreboard...because, win or lose, that's what I do...and I enjoy it.

It is easy to always say "the front office," but that is not a moveable part. The reality is the Bengals have built up an above average roster, but I believe Marvin's message has gone stale. The players need a new voice. Marvin needs his own fresh start. It is not normal for coaches to hold on to posts as long as he has without more results than what have produced. That resonates throughout a locker room.

It's not that people disagreed with you on that Dak vs. Dalton, but rather you were making a bold statement based on 4 games vs. a QB with 5 years of experience and making the playoffs all 5 years. It was just too early to make that call and that's what people called you out on.

I would speculate that Dak on the Bengals would make no difference in the Bengals record this year.

Dak has the best O line in the NFL, the potential MVP of the league lining up behind him and a pro bowl receiver and tight end. Not trying to take anything away from what Dak has done this season he has been great. But at Week 4 your statement was pretty bold. You look like a genius now, but you had no way of knowing Dak was going to become what he is besides your own intuition.

He wouldn't be going for 2000. But he's a 1000 yard back easily for the Bengals.

I would add at the most two hundred yards to what Jeremy Hill's totals are for the season, whatever that number is. Zeke would not even be in the discussion for MVP.
