Umm...unlimited resources, huge salary for the coach, great weather, great conference, unbelievable facilities, the best HS area in the country to recruit, great TV deal, etc. The real question is what would not make the Texas job popular?

Is the money worth the unrealistic expectations though? Weather is nice is Florida and Louisiana too. I just feel like the program, which has obviously been on the downward, isn't what is once was similar to that of Miami. If I were a major college coach idk if I'd want that kind of pressure.

They've been talking about firing this guy ever since he got there. I understand the facilities and unlimited resources but why on Earth would you want those boosters on you constantly like that? It ain't gonna change

100% agree.. Texas Boosters under impression they are the premier program. Heck - they thought they had a chance to make a run at Nick Saban a year or two ago. Would love nothing more than for Herman to say no thanks to them and leave them hanging.. but highly unlikely.. but would be great if he did..

The right coach turns that around real quick. Recruiting is all about the relationships a player makes with coaches.

Charlie Strong says he's not been fired. That the team will be evaulated at the end of the season.

They are doing him dirty, IMO. They know good and well they are getting rid of him. Stop beating around the bush and say he's done after TCU.
