November 19, 20169 yr As OSU fans mentioned in the UL threads. They sure didn't look like a top 4 team in the country today. JT Barrett had a rough day.
November 19, 20169 yr Author As great as JT Barrett is he always has those few games that he struggles to complete basic passes. It cost them two years ago against Virginia Tech, last year against MSU, earlier this year against Penn State. Then today he had a rough day again. As good as he is, the one thing we don't know is if he could manage to lead his team to wins against 2 other great teams and defenses in the playoffs.
November 19, 20169 yr Both reams struggled to throw the ball, it's November in the Big Ten, not Florida.:jump:
November 19, 20169 yr Like I said in the prediction thread if I was a sports better I would have laid a couple thousand down on MSU to more than cover the spread in perfect weather add in wind and snow and I would have bet every dime I had.
November 19, 20169 yr I love overreactions. Michigan loses last week? They'll get blown out at OSU. OSU struggles with MSU, get them out of the top 4.

I love OSU but I fear they would be beaten soundly by Bama. I think Bama would force JT to beat them throwing the ball and I don't think he can...
November 19, 20169 yr Author Agreed. I love OSU but I fear they would be beaten soundly by Bama. I think Bama would force JT to beat them throwing the ball and I don't think he can... Agreed! That is why I said 2 years ago him getting hurt may have been the reason why they won the title. Having someone like Jones to play against Bama who was able to complete more of those deep intermediate type routes to make them pay for loading the box helped win that game. I don't think they win it that year with JT and I am not sure if they can this year. We will see.
November 19, 20169 yr JT has regressed as a thrower. Simple as that. I love JT, but I think I'm ready to see someone new next year. See what Burrow, Haskins, or Martell can do.
November 20, 20169 yr It sure looks like JT has reached his peak. He's a very efficient game manager though. A peaked QB with very inexperienced WR's and you have this type of offense.

November 20, 20169 yr I'm not ready to give up on JT just yet. There's missing throws, and then there's what I saw today. I think the wind was a huge factor today. I know Blackledge tried to downplay it on one of the plays, but yet when they showed a replay of it, you could see an official's hat getting blown off at the same time.

The third down play where he went over the middle was much worse than the swing pass.
