After cheering loudly against them last night, I suddenly find myself the biggest Wake Forest fan in America this week.

I agree if going by the indicators since the first playoff ranking. Washington at #5 behind A&M told me they weren't very wanted.

Those committee members change what they think is important every week. There's no standard and they're all pretty awful.

No they don't.
I think they do. Washington will finish against 2 top 25 teams and 1 might be top 10 by that point. UofL will only have played 2 top 25 teams all year by that point. Couple that with not being conference champs, and I don't see UofL getting in over them. But if Washington plays like they did last night, they'll lose another game so you have nothing to work about.

Washington has the worst SOS in the Top 25 even with the last two games.

They also don't have Lamar Jackson.

One-loss Louisville gets in over one-loss Washington, no question in my mind.

I want that to happen because I want to see Lamar vs Bama. But I'm just trying to predict what the committee will do.

I really wanted to see Lamar versus Bama too, but after last night I am very leery of that matchup now. Wake Forest handled Lamar. Lamar looked bad throwing the ball. They contained him well. If Wake can do that, what will Bama do?

Hopefully Lamar learned some things in that Wake game and so did the coaching staff. I think they will be better for it, but I have less confidence and excitement about Lamar vs. Bama now than I did on Friday.

LJ never looked comfortable in the pocket. Wanted to run before pressure even came and didn't settle in. That is the 1st time this year I have seen that. Hope it was an aberration.

I've been preaching all year that Radcliff is the key to this team. Now that opponents have some tape on him being impressive, they may scheme to stop it. If so, that opens up running and throwing lanes for LJ. (Fumble continues to be troubling but not sure who takes blame for that on the mesh.)

Defense was put in tough positions by the TOs and poor play by the offense the whole 1st half and played a ton of snaps. They did what they needed to and held WF to FGs which helps stop the bleeding from the offense continually shooting itself in the foot. Fields and Hearns were BEASTS in the backfield all night. Grantham controlled the rush up the middle in 2nd half to insure QB didn't have the big play scramble ability from big pass rush that didn't maintain gap responsibilities.

Focus on Houston. Don't worry about the rankings (where I suspect Michigan is going to be ranked higher than UofL even though they shouldn't). This is Houston's true bowl game from a season that was supposed to be special for them. If the Coach who is reportedly already out the door heading for Austin can convince his kids to play big, they are gonna give UofL heck on THU night in front of a nationwide audience. Go Cards!

UK might hang around like WF did for a bit.

Nightmare scenario. Paste Houston on National TV this THU, have some things fall right with other teams and then lay an egg against a UK team they are supposed to beat and head off to the Poulan Weed Eater Bowl!

After slow starts against UK the last two years, I'd like to think they can't possibly do it again but... so it goes.

Well, Kyle Bolin ain't playing a half this year. And if he does, things are either really bad for UK, or really bad for UofL.
