I cannot not imagine anyone under 40 on this site. Young people have to many other things going on in their lives. No offense, but reading about high school football is for dads and old men (which are a whole lot alike).

You'd be surprised, SemperFi. I KNOW several of them read it. They may not read the site as a whole, but they read the comments about their game.

I know for a fact that many players read this site! Even I did as a player!

It is a toss up game and the voting is two swing votes away from being tied. I wavered on my pick several times and may change my mind a few more times before Friday.

 

This is the kind of game the playoffs should be all about.

We got to make changes from the first game like mixing up the offense plays, too predictable first game. Secodly, No BIG plays given up by the D....keep a man on Wright. Herbert's kicking look much better last week, needs to be a little deeper on KO's, EP's were 'crispier' up & overy easily.....injuries are have hit us hard, but we got to get by that.. ..Come out hard hitting with no mistakes and we can pull the upset. Hoping for a clean, safe game....

As I say every year before this game, when you're talking about two evenly matched teams, it usually comes down to turnovers. That's assuming all of our guys are able to go - still missing two key players that haven't practiced all week. If they can't go, it will be a tough mountain to climb.

• I will take CAL, while not as physical, they are physical enough and have more skill guys that can make plays. If I am DeSales, it sure seems there was a lot to take away from the first matchup, don't stop doing what got you where you are, run right at them and use that awesome QB to keep them fairly honest. CAL has a simple game plan, pass, pass, pass. DeSales will really struggle to defend CAL's athletes. DeSales Offense is very predictable and the line has not done a very good job blocking upfront. The offense did look good the second half versus Monroe.

I don't blame anyone for their picks, but the predictions look very similar this year. The poll looks almost exactly the same. I think if the turnovers are even or in DeSales' favor, the Colts win their 5th consecutive regional championship. Let's call it 20-17 for the Colts, and then let's pack the new stadium the day after Thanksgiving!!!

Good luck to both teams tonight! If we can get the W tonight and I like our chances I'm looking forward to making the trip up to Louisville.

For me, it's all about Desales 2 important players as mentioned above. If they can play, then I think it is a very even game and I might even give DeSales an advantage because the longer they stay in the game the more CAL has to worry "Here we go again".

 

If they can't play, I say CAL by 10 points.
