The game back in Oct was a reversal of styles for both teams. DeSales which subscribes to the "run it down their throat theory", decided to air it out, which they actually had more passing yardage than CAL. CAL on the other did the opposite, they didn't throw the ball as much, but ran it instead. For tonight DeSales needs to play the style that they do best, and let the chips fall where they may. Let your backs make plays for you. All three barely touched the ball last game. Play DeSales football. The defense has to play disciplined football, and not give up the big play. We have always fed on the revenge factor for our playoff match ups. I think we'll use that motivation once again. Believe me, our guys remember CAL coming out, and stomping on our D last game. Which was very bush league by CAL. Establish the run, don't turn the ball over, play disciplined. If we can do those things, then we'll win. If not, we'll be watching next week, instead of playing. Good luck to both teams, Lets have a clean hard hitting game, with no injuries.

I cannot not imagine anyone under 40 on this site. Young people have to many other things going on in their lives. No offense, but reading about high school football is for dads and old men (which are a whole lot alike).

 

You'd be surprised, SemperFi. I KNOW several of them read it. They may not read the site as a whole, but they read the comments about their game.

 

I know for a fact that many players read this site! Even I did as a player!

 

If I were to guess, over 75% of all high school boys that participate in sports read this site.....and a good portion that don't play sports read this as well.

I know of many under 40 on this site, me included. I know when I played a decade ago we definitely read the message boards. With more and easier access to the internet I'm sure even more are reading them now. Coaches always told us not to and to ignore the papers but we didn't listen and read it anyway. We used to read the newspaper articles out loud in the locker room.
