To the St X fans out there...I can't get to any of the games to see them in person, but just on a results-based basis, X appears to be playing their best football in several years. Would that be an accurate statement?

The whole program is playing well. Freshmen team went 10-0. JV went 10-0. Varsity won district for the first time since 2009. 3 varsity losses were to 6A #1, 5A #1, and Cincy St X who beat undefeated and nationally ranked Colerain on Friday. You can watch the game on Friday at Saint Xavier: Game Broadcasts or listen to it on iheart radio if outside Louisville or 50,000 WATT Clear Channel WKRD 790.

Reasons why? Offensive and Defensive Coordinator stability, Improvement of Skill positions, and overall team depth. They have played all 107 players in 5 games this year. Add that to the 10 JV games and the back ups have all gotten reps. They lost their Flanker Blake Roshkowski for the season and their Division 1 kicker and haven't missed a beat. They get another new player for Male thought should share carries with Sam Taylor. Bright future ahead for the Tigers.

What adjustments does Male's defense have to make to slow down Ridder and X's run game?

I'll take the Tigers in this one they seem to be peaking at the right time!

It certainly seems that way !!

Good luck

I agree with Mr. Seymour. To the the untrained eye, it seems that St. X is playing better than the Bulldogs. Therefore, I have to go with the Tigers for the win......although I have a lot of respect for Chris Wolfe (Male's coach). This baby may very well be a barnburner.

I'm not sure what to make of that comment?

"I amuse you ....you think I'm a clown..I make you laugh ?"

Could it be that Wolford finally has put all the right pieces in place?

You are 49,000 watts off, but other than that I agree. X is trending positive.

Thinking about making this trip. Never been to a game at St. X, though I saw X/H at Manual several years ago before the new stadium was built. Is there any need for advance tickets or will there be plenty of seats if you buy at the gate? Thanks!

I am sure they will sell at the gate, but this will be SRO if you don't get there darn early. And parking will be a bear.

Also, the best view is midway up the home side of the stands.

The caliber of this game is that of a state championship.

What is "darn early"? We usually get to the game at least an hour before kickoff.

That should work. I just think people entering the gate at 7:00 will find it tough to get a seat on the home side (especially if this mild weather holds!)
