November 11, 20169 yr Point is that there is a much different reaction from one side of the aisle than the other when things don't go their way. Yeah there will always be a few idiots that act out and do stupid stuff on the extremes of both sides, but I don't remember mass protest and riots over past elections when Democrats won, I don't remember colleges setting up comfort rooms for distressed students that are too upset to go to class. They have no idea what I am saying or thinking about them, it doesn't reinforce anything for those rioters on the west coast. I know JD that there are different reactions, but to allude most Democrats react this way is just incorrect. even for college kids. I didn't mean you specifically it was a general "you". In general, college kids protest, Right to Lifers protest and yes some of them act childish, environmentalists protest and some of them act childish. Let's see, did I see Tea Parties dress up in some costumes and protest, is this not childish? This is no big deal. I get why some people don't like it, but it is not a big deal or reflective on our youth. On a personal level, I dislike protests whether for my cause or not. Huge waste of time for in my mind. I have lots more important things to do. But if someone wants to protest and act childish (not violent of destructive), go for it.
November 11, 20169 yr Kinda hard for some to ignore it when they're getting drug from their cars and having their face pummeled. ignoring will stop it quicker than almost any method (I am talking the media), not happening by either liberal or conservative leaning outlets. Acting violent is not childish as some have said it's criminal. Huge difference. Law enforcement should not ignore crime, that should go without saying.

Well maybe now there's a president who supports law enforcement so they can actually do their job
November 12, 20169 yr Well maybe now there's a president who supports law enforcement so they can actually do their job I believe Obama supported law enforcement and he said it and acted it many times. LE has always gotten the benefit of the doubt and should. They should not be supported carte blanche, which is what many really want. We could have this discussion ad nauseum and our minds won't change much. Because I believe this way does not mean I don't support law enforcement. I absolutely do. So did Obama.

If you think he supported law enforcement there is ZERO point in discussing this further with you. You're out of touch. No one wants law enforcement to have "carte Blanche". I want a president who doesn't ignore the families of fallen officers, then sends representatives to criminals funerals when they justly die at the hands of law enforcement.

I want a president who doesn't ignore the families of fallen officers, then sends representatives to criminals funerals when they justly die at the hands of law enforcement. Because he didn't attend the law enforcement's funeral makes him not support. Did he say it was just the officer died, did he condemn the office. Has every President attended every law enforcement officer's funeral? He attends a funeral of a family criminal, did he do that all the time. Has no President attended a criminal's funeral. I understand your feelings and that of many many others with this, but to say he doesn't support law enforcement is just misguided. I have no idea where you would think he thinks it is ok.

I'm sorry sir, but it is in YOU who is misguided. You're obviously not near as familiar with his support or lack there of/for law enforcement as those more involved than you.

That is just not true. You have no idea about that. I will leave it there. I have a son that has been in law enforcement. I will not go further than to say he was hit, cussed at, been in extremely dangerous situations, etc. in the line of duty. So everything isn't as obvious as it seems. I don't know how much clearer that can make it that I understand. I do understand your thinking, just don't agree.

November 12, 20169 yr I'm sure he disagrees with you as well. Good day sir. Not correct, and another pre-judgment that I believe is why are in this mess in LE/citizen relationships. Amazing on how someone I don't know is sure of things about me and my family that i do. I'll leave it there, peace and sat times for you.

I've yet to see a police officer like Obama or Hillary. "Peace and sat times" to you as well.:thumb:
November 12, 20169 yr College students provided with "crying rooms," coloring books, and Play Doh, to help them cope with the election. Seriously? Colleges Try to Comfort Students Upset by Trump Victory - Washington Wire - WSJ The problem is that many of the professors needed the crying rooms as much as the students.
November 13, 20169 yr Author My guess is that most students who attend colleges that can "powder puff" them like this have no idea what the real world is like. Makes me sad for our future.
