Over 2.5 million. Just wanted to put that out there to show that Trump's plan isn't new or radical. In the 105 years between 1892 and 1997, the U.S. deported 2.1 million people — meaning that under presidents Bush (2 million) and Obama (2.5 million), the number of people deported by the U.S. in the course of a century was more than doubled in just 16 years of consecutive presidencies. So why are we so bothered by Trump's plan to kick out illegal immigrants? We're already doing it! The bigger problem is that they keep coming back.

November 11, 20169 yr No it's cruel, or unusual. But it's punitive enough that it keeps people in the shadows, with very little benefit to us. I agree that a background check probably should be part of the path. But again, if you're already here, already contributing and otherwise following the law, what purpose does a fine serve?? We want these folks out of the shadows....the fear of arrest, jail time, and fines aren't keeping the bad guys out, and it's only keeping the good guys underground. They broke the law. If you get caught speeding, you have to pay a fine. They are no better than you or I.
November 11, 20169 yr This is the first time you've ever made such a claim. Which is part of my point. It's not racist to be tired of paying for illegal immigrant's health care. It's not racist to be tired of people sneaking into the country from Mexico. It IS racist to CONSTANTLY bring up those situations and NEVER address white illegal immigrants that have done the same from other countries. It could be when someone says "illegal immigrants" you automatically attribute them to being racist instead of thinking they are meaning all illegals, no matter where they come from.

Your right, but all the media shows is people looking like Mexicans or Latinos sneaking over the border in Texas and Arizona. If it was a big deal Im sure MSNBC But I guess they fly in or sail in and never leave. Well its time they leave IMO.

Something needs to be to slow it down, control it, get rid of the bad ones, and allow the good ones to become citizens. But my point is this... You're either going to be in favor of cracking down on ALL immigrants, or you're a racist. There's no in between.

I have seen many posts that say illegal immigrants. They don't specify Hispanics or Muslims. You have no way of knowing what they mean. Maybe the posters aren't the ones with the bias.
