November 9, 20169 yr ...that Trump used racism to help him win this election? We've heard how Hillary pandered to different groups of folks, but so did DT. He used the fear of minorities to get White rural Americans to vote for him. He got the angry white man and his wife who hate BO (and minorities in general) out to vote for him. He used that, the fact that Clinton was just as terrible of a candidate, and the IQ of some of his voters to get the votes he needed. Will anyone that voted for him acknowledge that? And no, that doesn't mean that everyone who voted for him falls into that category, so save your breath on that.

George Bush was extremely unpopular with the black electorate, I'm sure that to some degree BO is extremely unpopular with the white electorate. Racism is alive and well and has become part of the presidential election. Politics are not immune to racism.

I've never thought that Obama was racist or empowered by racism. I truly feel that Trump is at the least racially insensitive and he has been empowered by racism that he used in ways to help get him elected. Too many people see it and acknowledge it. His opponent being Hillary Clinton helped him a ton as well. He ran a masterful campaign and I acknowledge that. The route he took to victory was disturbing and eye opening. For me me that is the difference racially when looking at Bush, Obama and Trump.

On the flip side of that coin, how many poorly educated voters and voters with lower intelligence levels voted for President Obama because of the color of his skin? I can't help but think that as much as Trump was happily pandering to certain white voters' racial prejudices, so was President Obama pandering to certain black voters' racial prejudices. The thing that I take away from this is the fact that 240 years after "all men are created equal", here we are with our current President and our President-elect continuing to use racial prejudices to get votes. Miserably sad.

I had a white friend who didn't really like anyone. He would say he hated black people, white people and all people. He didn't like black people but he wasn't racist. I believe that Trump falls into the insensitive category, he will need to improve in this area, but I'll give him a chance.
