I don't think he is fit to be president, but as someone else said, I hope the office makes the man.

 

I also plan to be fiercely critical of his divisive agenda, the fringe voices he has elevated, and any abuses of his power, if he deems himself above the restraints of the presidency. However, I will be much happier if I never feel the need to.

I hope his time as president is good for the USA.

 

I hope he's roundly beaten in 2020.

What I'm most fearful of is men like Donald Trump and Matt Bevin will hold the highest offices in the country and state I live in. But, what greatly troubles me is they will have a legislature make up that will allow them to push their agendas...

At this point, I take the man at his word. The successful implementation of the agenda he's set before the voters isn't likely to make me think he's doing a great job. He'll have at least two years of a relatively friendly congress to attempt that rollout. We'll just have to wait and see.

If, like I've thought for the last year, the Bevin administration is a small-scale preview of the Trump presidency, I'm not going to be very happy with what's ahead.

One should always respect the POTUS position regardless of the person occupying it.

I will ALWAYS respect the OFFICE of POTUS.

 

I will always respect the idea of the President, whoever may be in that position.

 

I despise Trump, and have ZERO respect for him as a man. I don't see that changing, but it's possible.

 

If the American people are better for it, I'll always hope every President is successful in their time in office.

This is where I stand. I didn't vote for him and I wouldn't have in most conceivable scenarios, but he was elected and I will respect the office. I will not use pejoratives the way many did for Obama, nor will I use them the same way others did for Bush. Decorum is lacking in our political process and no matter how angry anyone may be, it is needed. I didn't vote for him nor did I vote for Hillary but I'll be darned if I want to see the country fail.
