Well it was always about her. Since we didn't comply with the system the public was deemed not worthy. She' probably busy writing our suicide notes.

And despised Trump or the thought of a Trump presidency. Will you give him the respect of the office? Will you hope for him to be successful? Will you support him?

 

Yes. Yes. Yes with some exceptions:

 

Unless he is taking us to war.

I do not support the repeal of AHCA, but will reserve any further comment until I see if he has a reasonable alternative.

I do not support extreme measures regarding immigration.

 

As President, I will respect his position.

I will ALWAYS respect the OFFICE of POTUS.

 

I will always respect the idea of the President, whoever may be in that position.

 

I despise Trump, and have ZERO respect for him as a man. I don't see that changing, but it's possible.

 

If the American people are better for it, I'll always hope every President is successful in their time in office.

 

And I did not "support" (or vote for) Hillary.

One of the things I get chuckles out of as I look at these political posts is Footballforever and Fear the Nation being such bed buddies on Hillary.

I'd like to believe he cools down on some of the ridiculous stuff he's been saying and starts to act like a real president now. I hope he does well.

 

Repealing and replacing Obamacare is going to make or break him from the start.

I will say this: There is nothing I respect about him as a human being. But, I am pragmatic enough to know that being a good human being isn't necessarily a prerequisite to being successful in any job.

I hope his time as president is good for the USA.

 

I hope he's roundly beaten in 2020.

 

I think you can hold both of those positions simultaneously.

Currently my opinion on Trump the man is unchanged, and I would be naive to think it could change by waking up to the confirmation of what seemed likely the night before. Honestly, the bar is so low any positive shift would be monumental, and I'm not sure what he could possibly do to make me consider him a "good" person.

 

Nonetheless, he is our president. I'll never allow myself to not respect the position and the person who holds it. I want the best for our country, and that includes all of us and everyone else, regardless of how different they are from me. I can't help the fact that I would rather someone else be in the position, but I'm now rooting for Trump. It doesn't help anyone to hold a grudge and work for anything other than the best.
