Play this one at any other place on planet earth and I wouldn't hesitate to pick Raceland in a blowout. At Carslisle ?? it's anyones bet, I have been making that trip since the mid 1970's when the series first started and have seen some lets say "strange, unexplainable" things happen. Raceland was just lucky to have a far better football team in most years. Now in some years in the Ben Pumphrey era, a NC Running back named McGuffy and they could beat anyone and for the most part, they did.

IMO Raceland has played the tougher schedule, I don't think that anyone can argue that. BC of that, it's hard to tell just how good NC really is but with the points they have put up, everyone knows they can put plenty points on the board. Raceland, especially in the last three games have given up the big play and more than once. That fact concerns me, should NC break a couple of plays and get a lead, believing then anything could happen. I don't know how big and/or good they are on both lines but only one team all season (Russell) has pushed the Rams O and D lines around a lot. That's (LOS) is where imo Raceland will wear the Blue Jackets down and win the game. Should NC match out line play then it's a toss up.

I see it like this. Fairview handled Bracken fairly easily, Raceland handled Fairview fairly easily. I know they are different matchups and maybe kids were healthy and all that but I believe the gap between these two districts is a fairly wide one. Coach Salmons is making some personnel moves that I love that in my opinion are long overdue that make the Rams even better than we've seen all year. All these things combined lead me to believe this one goes smoothly some starters will get to rest in the second half and we handle business.

How healthy are these teams?

Just my opinion but I see the Ashland/Bourbon game being a closer more competitive game! May be wrong but looking for Bourbon to take that one in a close game and Raceland to take this one convincingly!

Back in June, I did a thread about potential sleepers to keep an eye on this season. Nicholas County was my pick for 1A. I said they might win multiple playoff games. I was wrong.

If visiting the concession stand I would go early. The game may very well be ugly by halftime.

Already bragged about their QB Davidson, but want to make one other observation. Besides being an absolute strong-armed hoss, watch him race downfield on the punt team. As longsnapper he cleared the line of scrimmage unchecked and created chaos as first defender on every punt against Brossart. Got to check him, or forget about any return yardage.

I'm not sure about their concession stand but there is a carry out just before the turn-in to the school. LOL
