Has been awesome as an analyst on FOX/FS1.

You think he's on the roids again? :sneaky:

I agree, he has done some solid work. Much better than I would have expected, I'm not sure why my expectations were low but they were.

I don't know why he's doing it though...I'd be gone, no one would see me again. Of course maybe he's trying to look respectable now that he's dating someone richer than he is.

My guess is there is one reason only. He wants to buddy up with as many voting media members as he can.

Pretty smart if that's his plan, I don't think it will work, but still pretty smart.

And he's gotta make sure there's a steady stream of backup ladies to choose from. I'd bet A-Rod hasn't slept alone too many nights and likely doesn't care to.

The woman he was dating is a Billionaire, she may be calling the shots in that relationship. :lol2:

Maybe he just loves baseball?

Agreed.

Perhaps so but I'd say he's still got love for the game....

I think that's why him and Pete connected so many years ago.

Say what you want about ARod, but the dude knows baseball. Much like Pete, his character as a human being is in question, but his baseball IQ is insanely high.

A-Rod and Pete were amazing together. Not sure the last time I made sure I was tuned into the pregame just to watch the analyst. If you like baseball it doesn't get much better than those 2 talking strategy.

Maybe he just loves baseball?

And he enjoys it? He's also really good at it.

I liked watching ARod on their show. It seemed like there were several times where he looked a little uncomfortable in the interactions with Pete, and just laughed it off.

I was a huge Pete Rose fan growing up, but watching him do this stuff as part of a group just doesn't feel right. Honestly, I think they'd do better without him. And Frank Thomas? Could take him or leave him.

If I was planning out a four man "analyst" crew, I'd keep ARod, but pair him with a former pitcher (Al Leiter maybe?) and a former manager (Bob Brenly?). Put those three with Verducci and run with it. You'd have pretty much every angle and perspective covered.
