From looking at it and writing it down it looks as if Nicholas will still be the 1 and Bracken will get the 2 and Brossart gets the 3.

I have this too. I don't know that there is a situation where the Bears can sneak in an extra few points.

Ok. I did some more calculating. IF:

Bath beats Nicholas, Paris beats Bethlehem, Harlan beats McCreary Central, West Carter loses to Magoffin Co, Eminence loses to Owen Co. That ties them both at 20 "points." If you add the 5th game:

And Bracken beats Ludlow, then they get 3 more points while Nicholas gets 2.

So, you know, simple stuff.

Thats a lot of ifs.

Thanks for saving me the trouble. LOL

I think you'd much rather be the #2 seed...

Yes the #1 gets a bye, but you'll likely play Raceland your first game, where if you get the #2 seed, you'll host Fairview. That's a more winnable game, IMO. (No disrespect to the fine folks in Westwood)

Ya. I'd say the Polar Bear Nation realistically is leaning that way. I'm not sure though, there is something to be said for a bye and a major game coming to town. I'm not sure how they feel, but I am sure that there was some celebrating in Brooksville last night!

It may be more winnable but the 1 seed gets the home field advantage.

So does the #2. Gotta take it 1 game at a time.

I should have been reading this thread, rather than researching and pumping #'s on the Bracken/Ludlow poll. Go Bears.

I know better than to trust you with numbers ;)

This just goes to show how much a difference coaching can make. After the passed few games, I'm starting to think Nicholas wasn't who people thought they were. Congrats to the Polarbears!

Nicholas is legit and still the best team in the disctrict night in night out. outside of the top 2 or 3 teams in 1a anyone can be beaten on any givin night. Same styles clashed and bracken seemed to have just executed better and wanted it more. I believe the sizemore kid is still in his 20s if I'm not mistaken, definitely an impressive turn around and resume building season. Don't think we have seen the last of Nicolas though at all. Excited to see what this district does in the post season as a whole.
