Getslow Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Weird game. Lamar Jackson had a bad night and the whole offense followed suit. Hopefully I never have to think about that game ever again.
Wireman Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 I'm afraid Louisville ended their title hopes tonight. It will take a small miracle to get them in now
Emmitt Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 A bad night for Jackson is a good night for most QB's - 145 or so yards rushing, a passing td and a rushing td and regardless how, a victory.
Emmitt Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Should be easy but seems many teams struggle after a bye week.
GrantNKY Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Looking at merely the numbers Lamar played pretty well. I was shocked when I saw them though. He just looked off. Threw into double coverage a lot and just wasn't on target much of the night. While he did have a 140+ yards in the ground. I think Duke showed the game plan to beat UofL if you just have better athletes than Duke does.
hrcarrier Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Didn't watch or follow the game at all due to being at a high school game and went out afterward. I was surprised at seeing the score.
hrcarrier Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Maybe it's just in the air. NC State just got a pick six against Clemson to tie it 10-10 to begin the second half. The game is at Clemson.
TheDeuce Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I think Duke showed the game plan to beat UofL if you just have better athletes than Duke does. What game plan was that exactly?
Getslow Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 What game plan was that exactly? Make Jackson have his worst game of the season?
ThrillVille Cardinal51 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 What game plan was that exactly? Make Louisville fumble on the 5, get a touchdown called back, and have Lamar miss WIDE OPEN receivers.
TheDeuce Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Make Jackson have his worst game of the season? Make Louisville fumble on the 5, get a touchdown called back, and have Lamar miss WIDE OPEN receivers. Exactly my point. Duke's only game plan was to limit the amount of time Jackson had the ball, and they executed that very well. I think it Duke was +15:00 in time of possession. Everything else were mental mistakes by Louisville. Duke didn't do anything on defense that they haven't already seen, Louisville just didn't execute well. Jackson said on SportsCenter this morning that practice during the bye week was sloppy, it carried over.
Wireman Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Duke had a great game plan to limit damage. They were in position to tie or win but their best defensive player couldn't resist hitting the kicker.
Cats3x Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Talk that Louisville would skate the rest if the season was premature. Every team in college football is going to have a conference game or two that comes down to the wire. Even against mediocre competition. Still think Louisville wins out but they aren't going to win by 40 every week.
