Louisville 24 Duke 14

Featured Replies

Still think Louisville wins out but they aren't going to win by 40 every week.

It was a nice thought, but never realistic. They COULD beat every team they have left by 40, but like you said, almost every team will have a game or two that come down to the final few snaps.

This was a bad week for Louisville. They still need FSU and somebody else to knock off Clemson, NC State should have been that somebody else. Couple that with a sub par performance against Duke and it is becoming tougher to see a path to the playoff.

Louisville lost their opportunity to get in the playoff when they lost to Clemson. All this talk about Houston and Washington has always been irrelevant. The only way they get in is if Clemson drops 2 and UofL plays in the ACC title game.

Louisville should win out and play in a a New Year's 6 bowl game.

And "sub par" for Louisville is "average" for about everyone else in the country.

You're one of the top 5 teams in the country in my opinion and one of the teams in front of you is guaranteed to lose. It would be a shame for UofL not to make the playoff. I don't see why you as a UofL fan are being so negative.

I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic.

Yes, there's an outside shot for Louisville to get in, and I hope they do, but they were in control of their own destiny until they lost to Clemson. They should have won that game. A one-loss SEC non-champion could get in the playoff. A one-loss non-ACC champion wont.

It depends if something happens and A&M beats Bama and runs the table and Bama is there with one loss they get in over UofL. But a 1 loss A&M doesn't get in over UofL. If you're being realistic Clemson realistically should have lost that game yesterday and if they had of you are right back in it. Heck there is still a chance that Clemson goes undefeated but loses to UNC in the title game and you're in that way IMO. There are so many things that can happen to get you all in the playoffs that the fact that you seem to be settling for a New Years Six Bowl seems to be selling yourself short.

Absolutely. They may blow Houston out but lose to NC State. Conference play, especially in the Power 5 conferences, is crazy.
