October 8, 201610 yr Momentum changed big following the first debate. Sunday night's debate is looking like do or die for Trump. What can Trump do in this debate to turn momentum back to him? Will his attacking and name calling style from the primary debates get that done or will it sink his ship further? The debate is a town hall style debate with questions from the audience. What is Trump 's best strategy Sunday night?
October 8, 201610 yr Trump's momentum did not end until he made the foolish decision to resume tweeting nonsense at 3 AM on the morning following the first debate. It is too late for him to learn enough about the federal government and the serious issues that face this country to seize the momentum again. This race features the two worst candidates the major parties have ever fielded. I read the campaign billed as the Clash of the Titanics somewhere and I fully agree with that characterization.
October 8, 201610 yr I'm 100% serious when I say he is throwing this election. This will be the final nail in the coffin. Game over. Is he the worst nomination to ever come out of a major party?
October 8, 201610 yr I'm 100% serious when I say he is throwing this election. This will be the final nail in the coffin. Game over. Is he the worst nomination to ever come out of a major party? It is a close call between Trump and his opponent. As weak of a candidate as Trump is, all he had to do to win was follow good advice, study, and kick his Twitter habit. The decision not to match Clinton's advertising campaign was another blunder that will be cited as an example by political science professors of what not to do during the decades to come.

I agree, but she is at least not throwing herself under the bus. What a mess.
October 8, 201610 yr I agree, but she is at least not throwing herself under the bus. What a mess.I agree. Hillary obviously is better at taking campaign advice and staying on message. The Clintons are also very experienced in the art of personal destruction, which is why I believe that this race is over. A candidate does not get unlimited do-overs in a presidential campaign, and I think Trump has blown too many opportunities already to overtake the lead that Hillary has built before the election. Early voting makes a reversal of Trump's fortunes even more unlikely, IMO.
October 8, 201610 yr I hope he comes out firing. I could care less about the election but I like good television.
October 8, 201610 yr Do or die? He has already died. Opposition research always saves their best stuff for last. So we haven't yet seen the worse on Trump. You will see more and more GOP leaders separating themselves from Trump over the next few days. Let's strart talking about 2020. This one's history. Edited October 8, 201610 yr by Science Friction
October 8, 201610 yr Good television? What about the good of the country? Trump should bow out and give the party(the GOP) at least some chance of remaining viable down the road and down ballot. I'm sure the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader would agree that he must be gone for the good of the GOP and the republic. What a mess he has made!!! But really, think about it, who's to blame?
October 8, 201610 yr The good of the country? Hopefully they both announce their decisions to pull out of the race tomorrow night.
October 8, 201610 yr I'm 100% serious when I say he is throwing this election. This will be the final nail in the coffin. Game over. Is he the worst nomination to ever come out of a major party? I would say that he is clearly the most unqualified to ever seek the office. Unquestionably , he has major personality issues and may be a sociopath. I'm sure we've had several of those in the past but probably none with the combination of personality disorder and total ineptitude for the task of being President.
October 8, 201610 yr I find it unbelievable that DT still has any support. The most beatable candidate the Dems have placed on the ballot in maybe ever and she is going to landslide his thing. 2020 wil be no different if the Republican Party continues to alienate minorities, women and not have reasonable convos on gun control. Also keeping religion out of the campaign will enhance their chances. Their economic policies in which many are better than the Dems never get play because of this other stuff IMO. I have sincere doubts they cannot do this.

October 8, 201610 yr Tomorrow nights debate will be must see. Ever want to see Trump feeling like he is cornered? He will be swinging hay makers from the opening bell.

Has to be. I've never seen anything like it. Shonda Rhimes couldn't write a season of Scandal better than what we are watching with Trump right now.
